We’re back in town for more supernatural shenanigans.
Here we are, at last, at the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. I have loved this programme since I was five years old and caught part of a repeat of Revelation of the Daleks on BBC 2, completely by accident. So much has already been said about the series and why it has lasted so long, but I wanted to add a few of my own thoughts.
A series borne out of the necessity to allow Spartacus actor Andy Whitfield the time to recover from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (which he sadly never did, necessitating a re-casting), this second run is a half-length prequel season which permits the showrunners to fill out some of the back stories of the characters.
One season in the bag – with a season two pick-up – and a 3 million strong army of viewers behind it, was Game of Thrones worth all the fuss? The short answer: some of it. But sadly, while there was some good, there was also some bad and, unfortunately, some downright ugly.
The seven-part series about the world of modeling through the eyes of one of the top model agencies in the world has ended. While we’re not all that sad about it, we did learn a few things from those folks at Premier (the agency), so we thought we’d share our findings with you – because we know you’d all be so interested!
